NatureWorks® polymers are already proving themselves in success commercial applications in the areas of fiber and nonwovens, films, extruded and thermoformed containers, and extrusion and emulsion coatings. NatureWorks polymer is a natural fit for many applications currently using polyester, polyolefins, polystyrene and cellulosics. With performance properties that span these materials, as well as its ease of processability, NatureWorks polymer can offer cost and productivity advantages that constitute a competitive advantage for our customers.
Branded as NatureWorks®, the resin is ideal for packaging manufacturing. Applications using NatureWorks polymer resin can be clear, opaque, flexible or rigid. NatureWorks polymer provides gloss and clarity similar to polystyrene, and exhibits tensile strength and modulus comparable to hydrocarbon-based thermoplastics. Like polyester, NatureWorks polymer resists grease and oil, and offers an excellent flavor and odor barrier. And NatureWorks polymer provides heat sealability at temperatures equivalent to polyolefin sealant resins.

Ingeo fiber works in both pure qualities and innovative blends for everything form dress shirts to draperies. NatureWorks resins and a comprehensive range of Ingeo fiber types fit with all standard nonwoven technologies including: spun lacing, thermo, chemical or resin bonding, calendaring, needle punch, wet laid and spun bond processes.
